內容簡介Thirty years have passed since I joined a manufacturer of monolithic refractories as a researcher, and the opportunity for contributions in lectures and magazines (Taikabutsu) etc. have increased. In those days an allowance for research by at least one person, was freely possible, even in small-scale company like ours. Recently, it is thought that support for free research has become very difficult to obtain. It is not clear if this is owing to the mature stage of monolithic refractories technology, a depressed market or personal ability. Some of the thermo- mechanical properties as a theme of this serial lecture have been tackled since I entered a company. Here, I am attempting to write in an informal matter to colleagues in my company on some topics that are not yet appropriate to be presented as a formal report. The subject of every section may not be relevant for every reader, so you do not need to read every page carefully. Please read only the subject of general interest to you.
